Are you a member?
Are you a member of the PTO yet? By joining the PTO, you help us to support the school, the staff and the students. When parents help to plan and carry out activities and programs at the school, it frees up staff to focus on the daily needs of students. Donations of money, supplies, food, and time allow us to provide for needs outside of the school's budget. Your support shows our staff that you appreciate and are willing to support their work on behalf of our children. It also send a message to our children that we believe in their education and are willing to take an active part in it.
Your membership also gives you voting privilege for electing officers, revising bylaws, and setting the budget.
If I join, do I have to?
- Go to meetings? No. Though you are welcome to attend our monthly general meetings, which will be held online via Google meet. Your membership gives you the right to vote on any motion. In fact, some business, such as electing officers, may be voted on my e-mail or Google poll.
- Volunteer or spend a lot of time at the school? Nope! Joining the PTO is not the same as volunteering. We love and appreciate our volunteers and it's a great way to fill your mandatory volunteer hours. But joining is not a commitment to volunteer.
