December 9, 2021

Updates & Reports

Conference Dinners Recap
Dinner was a success. Lee’s Marketplace soup was very affordable and well-received. We fed 30 instead of 50. Monthly gifts are being well-received.

Treasurer’s Report Emily gave a treasurer’s report and made a motion for it to be accepted into minutes. Seconded by Amanda. Motion carried.

Holiday Parties

Signup genius is created, sent, and filled. We’ll meet December 16 at 1 p.m. to organize and distribute food donations for parties.

-Action items

-Add to Google drive from last year (everyone)

-Set up donation crates (Amanda)

- Bring grocery sacks (everyone)

- Bring labeling supplies (Kathryn)

- Bring wagons (Amanda/Hillary)

-Email teachers with party plans and the google drive by the 13th (Emily)

-Distributing (Sarah, Kathryn, Hillary, Emily, Laura, volunteers from signup)

December Teacher Gifts

• Laura will have teacher gifts ready to distribute with with party treats on the 16th.

• Action items: Assemble gifts (Does Laura need help?)

Door decorating judging

• Emily will bring score sheets to judge on the 16th. 

Tally scores and announce winner the same day.

Stickers and pencils to give along with cup.

January Snack/Supply drive
We’ll send out a signup the first week back from Christmas break for donations of snacks and Expo markers to be shared with all classes as a January appreciation gift. Donations will be requested by January 15. Our January 13 PTO meeting will be a working meeting where we will organize and distribute donations. We’ll leave the signup open-ended instead of asking for specific quantities. However, Amanda will include suggestions of gifts. Include in advertising, especially on Facebook, that signing up is not necessary to donate. People wishing to make a donation that is specific to a classroom will be told to take the donation directly to the classroom.

• Sort/distribute donations - everyone

Looking ahead

• February includes parent teacher conferences and friendship day.

• Discussed writing thank you notes to teachers, possibly at February meeting or thank you hearts on doors.

• Friendship day usually includes bounce houses and a stomp. 

• Door decorating contest?
